Updates to Elicit Subscription Plans

Edited

We’ve introduced changes to Elicit Basic and Elicit Plus plans, and added a new Elicit Pro plan to supercharge your research experience at Elicit.

Introducing Elicit Pro

Elicit Pro is a new pricing tier we created for power users and professionals using Elicit for systematic reviews. This plan eliminates the need to purchase top-up credits in order to complete larger systematic review projects.

The new Elicit Pro plan includes:

  • Data extraction from 100 uploaded PDFs per month or 1,200 per year

  • Unlimited use of high-accuracy columns

  • Add 10 columns to your tables at a time

  • Our highest priority customer support

As well as everything included in Elicit Plus:

  • Unlimited search across more than 125 million papers

  • Unlimited chat and summaries with up to 8 papers at once

  • Unlimited table exports (CSV/BIB/RIS)

Elicit Pro is $49 per month or $499 per year to subscribe.

Annual plans will receive access to the full year's worth of papers for extraction immediately upon subscription.

What’s changing with Elicit Plus

Elicit Plus no longer uses credits to monitor your usage of Elicit. Instead, Elicit Plus includes:

  • Unlimited search across more than 125 million papers

  • Unlimited chat and summaries with 8 full-text papers at once

  • Unlimited table exports to CSV/BIB/RIS

  • Data extraction from 25 uploaded PDFs per month or 300 per year

  • Add 5 columns to your tables at a time

  • 1 high-accuracy column per table

Elicit Plus is $12 per month or $120 per year to subscribe.

Annual plans will receive access to the full year's worth of papers for extraction immediately upon subscription.

What's changing with Elicit Basic

Instead of receiving 5,000 free credits to use on Elicit Basic, you now have unlimited access to many of Elicit's most popular research tools. Here's what's included:

  • Unlimited search across more than 125 million papers

  • Unlimited chat and summaries with 4 papers at once

  • Data extraction from 10 uploaded PDFs per month

  • Add 2 columns to your tables at a time

Elicit Basic is free to use until you're ready to upgrade to Elicit Plus or Elicit Pro.

Elicit Plus and Elicit Pro offer a much more comprehensive research experience. On a subscription plan, you can:

  1. Extract data from substantially more uploaded PDFs per month, with larger file sizes supported

  2. Export your work to CSV, RIS, or BIB

  3. Add many more columns to your tables at once

  4. Access to high-accuracy columns

  5. Data extraction from tables inside research papers

  6. Higher priority customer support from our human support team

Transitioning away from credits

Where did my remaining credit balance go?

We’ve completely eliminated credits across all Elicit plans. Instead, we’ve opened up access to many Elicit features to make your research experience more unbounded.

You no longer have a credit limit on your Elicit plan.

We will automatically credit the value of any unused top-up credits on your account toward a future subscription payment. You will see this discount on your next payment to Elicit.

It may take a few days for you to receive your credit. Please email us at help@elicit.com if you need help.

How do the new Elicit Plus and Elicit Pro plan limits work?

Extracting data from uploaded PDFs

  • Does Elicit only allow uploading 25 PDFs / 100 PDFs into Elicit per month?

You can still upload and store as many papers as you’d like to your Elicit Library.

Elicit will count the number of papers you extract data from each month. Your plan determines how many papers you can extract data from:

    Elicit Pro

    Monthly

    100 PDFs per month

    Annual

    1,200 PDFs per year

    Elicit Plus

    Monthly

    25 PDFs per month

    Annual

    300 PDFs per year

    Elicit Basic

    -

    12 PDFs per month

  • When does a paper count as having had data extracted from it?

When using the “Extract Data from PDFs” workflow in Elicit, you are prompted to select papers from your Library to move into a data extraction table.

Once you click to generate a data extraction table that you can begin adding columns to, Elicit includes the number of selected papers in the table into the paper extraction count.

  • How can I tell how many papers I’ve extracted data from?

You can see your monthly paper usage at any time by going to your Account Settings page.

  • What if I need to extract data from more than 25 or 100 papers in a month?

If you’re on an Elicit Plus monthly plan and you need to extract data from more than 25 papers in a month, you can upgrade to an annual plan. Upon upgrade, you’ll immediately get access to 300 papers per year.

If you need to extract data from more than 300 papers in a year, you can upgrade to Elicit Pro. On the Elicit Pro annual plan, you’ll be able to extract data from 1,200 papers per year.

If you need more than 1,200 paper extractions per year, please contact sales@elicit.com for more options.

Adding columns to data extraction tables

  • How does the column limit work on tables I create in Elicit?

Every data extraction table you create can have a certain number of columns added to it, not including the paper and abstract summary columns. Your Elicit subscription plan determines how many columns you can add:

    Elicit Pro

    10 (unlimited high-accuracy columns)

    Elicit Plus

    5 (with 1 high-accuracy column)

    Elicit Basic

    2

Once your data extraction table has the maximum number of columns added, you won’t be able to add any new ones until you delete a column.

If your needs regularly exceed Elicit Pro’s limits, please contact us at sales@elicit.com to learn about additional plan options.
