New in Elicit: Tables, figures, and slides in the Research Agent

Since introducing Elicit's Research Agent, it's become your primary starting point for your research on Elicit. Today, we're shipping three updates that make Elicit substantially more useful for the work that happens after you get an answer — turning evidence into artifacts you can actually use:

  • Paper tables you can filter, save, and export as citations

  • Figures generated alongside your analysis (paid plans)

  • Slides drafted straight to PowerPoint (preview - paid plans)

Upgrade your plan to unlock figures and slides - along with extended access to the Research Agent - so the answers you find flow straight into the docs and decks you actually share.

Filter, save, and export citations in the agent

When the Research Agent pulls papers into a table, you can now act on those sources without leaving the conversation. Apply rich filters to narrow the set, save papers to your library, or download the table as .bib or .ris citations to load into your reference manager. You can now bring the sources you’re interested in directly to other workflows.

Generate figures alongside your analysis (paid plans)

Ask the Research Agent to visualize what it found — a bar chart of sample sizes, a timeline of publications, a comparison of effect sizes across studies — and it will produce the chart as a separate artifact next to the conversation, ready to drop into your own docs. Figures are available in Extended Thinking mode on paid plans — just click the clock icon and ask to "create a chart on…".

Draft slides to PowerPoint - Preview (paid plans)

When you need to share what you found, the Research Agent can now create basic slides for you. On paid plans, click the clock icon for Extended Thinking, and ask the Research Agent for slides. Download it as a PowerPoint file and edit from there — a grounded starting point for sharing your research.

This one is a preview — we're shipping it early to learn how you actually use it. If you try it, reply with your feedback!

Why we made this change

Research is meant to be shared. You still need to gather sources, show what you found, and share it with someone else. These features close that gap — so the work you do with the Research Agent flows directly into how you actually use it.

Upgrade your plan to unlock figures, slides, and extended access to the Research Agent. We'd love to hear what you think.
