Research Reports can be exported as a PDF or Word file, regardless of which Elicit plan you subscribe to. Choose your desired format by clicking the drop down arrow next to the Save PDF button in the right hand sidebar.
Elicit Plus and higher plan subscribers can export tables from a Research Agent session, including any columns that were added to the table. Pro, Scale, and Enterprise subscribers can export tables from Systematic Reviews, including the screening recommendation tables and the data extraction table.
To export your table, click the export button at the top of the table. Tables can be exported in CSV and Excel format. Certain tables of sources can be exported as RIS or BIB files.
Other artifacts in a Research Agent session can be downloaded in various formats depending on what the artifact is. Click the download button on each artifact to view the format options.
For tips on using Elicit exports in Excel, see How to Import Elicit CSV files into Excel.
Exporting from a legacy session
Find Papers, Extract Data, and Chat with Papers sessions created before 30 September 2026 are view-only, but export still works from them. Open the session from Recents and use the export button as normal.
These legacy sessions will be removed from Elicit on a date to be determined in 2027, so export anything you want to keep, or carry the session into a Research Agent session. See Where did Find Papers, Extract Data, and Chat with Papers go?
Export references in a specific format (AMA, MLA, etc.)
Results from Research Agent sessions, Systematic Reviews, and Research Reports can be exported as .bib or .ris files to convert to specific reference formats in a reference management software program. Follow the steps below to generate references in a specific format in Zotero:
Export the desired table or report as .bib
Import the .bib file into Zotero
Select all of the papers, then right-click and choose "Create Bibliography from Items"
On the next screen, choose your citation style and export.
Alternatively, export a .ris file and upload it to another citation manager such as Mendeley or EndNote.
Export your Library
Your Elicit Library can be exported as a .ris file, which imports into Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, or another reference manager.
