Cancel Elicit Plus or Elicit Pro
You can cancel your Elicit Plus or Pro subscription at any time by downgrading to our free Basic plan.
To cancel your subscription, open your Account settings page and scroll to the Subscription & Billing section. Click the Downgrade to Basic button under the Basic plan.
A pop up will open asking you to confirm cancellation of your subscription.
To confirm your cancelation, click the Downgrade my plan button. If your plan has been canceled successfully, you will see a banner at the top of the Subscription & Billing section like this:
At the end of your current billing period, your account will be automatically downgraded to a free Elicit Basic plan and your billing method will not be charged again.
Cancel Elicit Team or Scale
To cancel a Team or Scale plan, click on your name at the top right of any page and click the Manage button to go to the Team/Scale management page:
At the bottom of the Team/Scale management page, click the three dots in the Subscription & billing section and choose Cancel plan:
Your plan will be canceled at the end of your current billing cycle. When a Team or Scale plan is canceled, team member accounts are closed and locked to protect team data. The team admin(s) can request accounts be returned to team members on the free Basic plan. Contact Elicit at [email protected] to request the team be disbanded.
Delete Your Account (GDPR)
Account deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.
If you'd like to delete your Elicit account and personal information associated with it, please visit the Account Settings page. Scroll to the bottom and click the Delete button:
If you aren't able to access Account Settings because you are still on the plan selection page of the sign up process, click the Skip button at the bottom of the plan selection page. You will then be able to proceed to the Account Settings page to delete your account. If you cannot log in to your account, especially if it was created using Google sign-in, you can still delete your account by following these steps:
Use the password reset flow to set a password for your account. Enter the email address associated with your Elicit account to receive a password reset link.
Once you’ve set a new password, log in to your account using your email and the newly created password.
Navigate to Account Settings.
Select the option to delete your account. This process allows you to regain access to your account and complete the self-service deletion without relying on Google sign-in.
If you have an active paid subscription, the subscription will be canceled immediately when you delete your account. Elicit does not issue partial refunds for any unused time remaining on the subscription. Ensure you have saved any important data before proceeding with account deletion.
